Title: Guidelines for Application by Electronic Game Arcade for Business Rating Ch

Content: 1.Basis: the first paragraph of Article 11 of the Electronic Game Arcade
Business Regulation Act.

2.Application procedures:
Once the electronic game arcade have registered pursuant to the Company Act
or the Business Registration Act, they should meet the following requirements
if they would like to apply for premise certificates or change business registration.
(1)Content classifications at business premises
a.Article 8, Article 9, Article 11-2 of the Electronic Game Arcade Business
Regulation Act, the Electronic Gaming Arcades Installation and Management
Self-governing Ordinance and other relevant regulations
b.No mixing of electronic games arcade classified as general-rate and restricted-rate.
(2)Permit applications
a.Name of the electronic game arcade operator:
The application should be submitted by a company or business entity, with the
title and operating scope clearly describing the business as electronic game arcades.
b.Business scope:
Business code J701010 for the operation of electronic game arcades (with
contents classified as general-rate or restricted-rate).
c.Submission of the application for Business rating certificate for electronic
game arcade (Appendix 1).
d.Photocopy of the application for inspection on the motherboards of electronic
game machines (Appendix 2), for the machines that already passed inspections.
e.Business rating certificate for electronic game arcade will be issued once
the application has been reviewed and approved by a municipality, local city
or county government (Appendix 3).
3.Compliance:
(1)Business premises for the general-rate should be primarily equipped with machines
for education games. Business premises for restricted-rate may install steel ball
games, entertainment games and education games. The same business premise can
only offer either contents the general-rate or contents restricted-rate.
(2)Only the electronic game machines that have passed inspections by the Bureau
of Standards, Metrology and Inspection and are labeled with the certification stickers
can be installed and operated for business.
(3)The electronic game machines that have not passed inspections for classification
or labeled with the certification stickers cannot be installed for business.
