Title: MOEA Instructions to Asia LEDS Partnership Promotion Group Ch

Content: 1. The Ministry of Economic Affairs (MOEA) has set up the Asia Low Emission Development 
Strategies (LEDS) Partnership Promotion Group (Group) to promote Taiwan’s active participation 
in the Partnership, while promoting technical exchanges, experience sharing, and cooperation of 
Taiwan’s related industries with other members of the Partnership for decarbonization development 
in Asia. 
2. The Group’s mission includes the following:
(1) Promoting participation in work related to the Asia LEDS Partnership.
(2) Reviewing and participating in projects related to the Asia LEDS Partnership.
(3) Coordinating the participation of relevant agencies and organizations in activities and projects 
related to the Asia LEDS Partnership.
(4) Providing consultations on other related topics.
3. The Group’s convener is the Deputy Minister of the MOEA, and its deputy convener is the 
Director General of the International Trade Administration (TITA) under the MOEA. There are 
twelve members, including the convener and deputy convener. The other members consist of 
Director General-level representatives of the Third-level of the Central Government or higher from 
the Office of Energy and Carbon Reduction under the Executive Yuan, Ministry of Environment, 
Ministry of the Interior, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Transportation 
and Communications, Ministry of Agriculture, Financial Supervisory Commission, Energy 
Administration under the MOEA, and Industrial Development Administration under the MOEA.
4. The Group meetings are held every three to six months, and extraordinary meetings are convened 
when necessary. If the convener is unable to attend a meeting, the deputy convener stands in. 
Scholars, industry representatives, and other experts may be invited to participate in meetings when 
needed.
5. The Group’s administrative and coordination work is handled by TITA, which may convene 
consultation meetings on related matters when necessary.
6. There is no pay for serving as a member of the Group.
7. The Group’s expenses are covered by the relevant budget of the TITA under the MOEA.
